ACharles J. Bell Sr. served under Pastor Mary L. Stone for 47 years as Business Manager at Stone Deliverance Evangelical Temple.  He was ordained as a minister in Stone Deliverance Evangelical Temple in 1964 and became one of the Associate Pastors.   In April 2007, Pastor Charles J. Bell Sr. felt called by God, to reach out to lost souls and people seeking a new congregation.  Pastor Bell believed the call was to start a new church that would bring these souls to receive Christ and be saved.

After several months of praying and seeking God, Pastor Bell founded the Gospel of Christ Ministries in June of 2007, initially as a Bible Study group with five people.  On August 1, 2007, we moved to the home of Thelma Cox and the Bible Study group immediately grew to about 20 people.

Members of the group became very excited and voted to establish a church.  In September 2007, we formed Gospel of Christ Ministries and incorporated it in the State of Ohio.

In December 2007 thru April 2009, we rented church space and shared services with New Life Baptist Church located in Kenmore.  They had services at 11:00 a.m., and we had services at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday and at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Our church is now 2½ years old, we have experienced tremendous growth to approximately 115 regular members and still growing.  In July 2008 we purchased a facility on Land Contract to more effectively carry out the mission that God had given us. We made major improvements to the interior to transform it from a bar to a church.  On June 28, 2009 we moved into our new church.

The members of Gospel of Christ Ministries are long-time church goers, who are committed to serious and regular participation in the church.  The leadership is seasoned in both preaching and ministering to a congregation, with decades of Christian experience and knowledge.

  The Pastor is loved and well respected by the members and they are eager to follow his leadership in the gospel.
